Fresh off its 2009 run as the second best-selling sports game of the year, UFC Undisputed is back with time to spare to talk about some of its features for 2010, but don’t expect to see some of those new tidbits on the Xbox 360. The PS3 has scored, at least for the time being, its own system-exclusive features for the smash hit MMA video game.

As PS3 center reports, expect to find retired UFC legends Royce Gracie and Dan Severn as playable characters only on PS3, as well as WEC star Jens Pulver who has slipped lately after facing a long string of talented opponents.

UFC 2010 Undisputed on PS3 will also feature five more exclusive Ultimate Fight modes than its 360 brethren. Ultimate Fight mode is THQ’s upgrade of last year’s Classic Fight mode, which allowed fighters to re-live classic fights from the UFC.

THQ: “The main difference between Classic Fights from last year and the Ultimate Fights for UFC Undisputed 2010 is the introduction of Fight Categories and Multiple Challenges for each fight. Assigning each fight to a category helps structure the mode and allows players to easily identify each type of fight, while the introduction of Multiple Challenges for each fight adds replayability to the mode.”

UFC 18 – Carlos Condit vs Martin Kampmann
UFC 60 – Matt Hughes vs Royce Gracie
UFC 66 – Keith Jardine vs Forrest Griffin
UFC 68 – Martin Kampmann vs Drew McFredries
UFC 102 – Nate Marquardt vs Demian Maia

UFC Undisputed 2010 is currently set to release May 25, 2010.
