How UFC 2010 Could Be Better

With a leaderboard reset nowhere in sight yet, many UFC 2010 players are becoming frustrated and are voicing their distaste for various aspects of the game on community forums. If you’re wondering what THQ could do to do improve their product, a new blog on Fighters.com has given 5 major areas that need work.

How UFC 2010 Could Be Better

The latest UFC Undisputed patch certainly helped fix things, but the video game remains flawed in the eyes of many. If you ask players what the most frustrating aspect of the game is, a large majority of them will surely complain about the choppy nature of online matches and the frequent disconnects during them. Reality of online play is that there will be some connection issues, but as the blog notes, it shouldn’t be to the extent currently being experienced.

“Even after numerous patches, the amount of lag I encounter in UFC 2010 is staggering. I’ve only run into a handful of games that ran smoothly with no stuttering. It amazes me that I can get into a game like Modern Warfare 2 with 17 other players and, for the most part, have a game that’s completely free of lag, and yet a one-on-one fight is apparently too much for THQ’s servers.”

If THQ wants to retain their grasp on the MMA video game market, UFC 2010 is going to have to make vast strides in a short time period with EA MMA breathing down its neck. With updates being few and far between so far, the future does not look bright for the UFC’s official game.
