Dan Hardy Talks UFC 2010 in New Interview
ESPN’s “The Gamer” blog was recently able to interview British professional MMA fighter Dan “The Outlaw” Hardy and talk to him about his appearance in UFC 2010.

The interview also touches on Hardy’s gaming hobby in general, as well as his fighting career, but mainly focuses on his involvement with the UFC Undisputed franchise. While many have been skeptical of the grappling and ground system in UFC 2010, Dan Hardy sees it as one of the highlights of the video game.
I think the grappling. It’s very easy to control somebody kicking and punching, but the intricacies of the ground game, the movements and the escapes, I don’t know how they’ve managed to do it so well. I wouldn’t even know where to begin if I was making the game. I guess that’s why I’m fighting and not designing games. But there’s so much to learn in real life, and I’ve actually got control of my limbs and know what I’m doing with them, but to map out how the ground game works in a video game and have it work so well, it’s really impressive.
Unsurprisingly, Hardy is a fan of his UFC 2010 character and encourages other gamers to play as him. With Hardy coming off of a tough unanimous decision loss to Georges St. Pierre, he will surely be looking to rebound in his next fight and work his way back up for another title shot.
